SUMMARY:Hand Build Ceramics: Leaf-Impressed Bowls and Plates
DESCRIPTION:Discover the art and joy of handbuilding with clay while creating a coordinated set of four functional plates or bowls inspired by nature and the changing seasons. Designed for all experience levels\, this three-session workshop introduces slab-building techniques as you use molds and real leaves to capture intricate patterns and organic textures in clay. Whether you’re learning the basics or refining existing skills\, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to make the project your own through natural impressions and surface design. Throughout the workshop\, you’ll build confidence using the makerspace clay studio\, including its tools\, equipment\, and processes\, while developing skills you can apply to future handbuilding projects. Members and non-members are welcome. \nClass meets on the following dates/times: \n\nTuesday October 6: 6 – 7:30 pm\nTuesday October 13: 6 – 7:30 pm\nTuesday October 27: 6 – 7:30 pm\n\nPlease do not register if you cannot attend all meetings.
