About the MakerSpace
Create, invent, and learn in Winona
Winona Creators Collective has built a makerspace for all of Winona, from youth to retirees, hobbyists to entrepreneurs. The space is nearly 22,000 sq ft, making it the largest community makerspace in all of Minnesota – plenty to host classes, support arts/STEM, and foster new businesses in Winona.

Studios
Members can use our shared tools and shared studio space across multiple disciplines
3d Printing & Prototyping
Multiple 3d printers and an electronics bench allow you to create that next invention, prototype, or just print out that fridge part you can’t find anymore. Bring your own filament in, or use ours for a small donation to make your print. Classes include how to 3d print, designing LED pendants, and more.

Audio Lab
Coming Late Fall ’26
Need to record your podcast, vlogcast, or just a place to practice your instrument? The audio lab is an upcoming studio to let you do just that, as well as experiment with audio equipment.

Ceramics
With nine pottery wheels, a slab roller, and two kilns, we have plenty for novices and experienced ceramics artists. Buy clay from us, grab a shelf, and start producing and glazing work. Or, take a class in hand building, wheel work, or just glaze some premade pottery with friends.
Coworking & Business Innovation
Space for remote working, coworking, or just a quiet corner to design your next project. The coworking space, graciously sponsored by Merchants Bank, includes two conference rooms, copier, mail services, and a large hotdesk area. Take a entrepreneurship course, or just join us for a free Coworking day (the last Wednesday of the month)

Fiber Arts
Space for sewing, mending, fabric dye, and multitudes of workbenches and bobbins. Learn how to tyedye, use our industrial sewing machine on a leather project, or just practice mending in our patching/mending class.

Glass
Space for stained glass projects big and small, including grinders, a large work table, and plenty of glass available by donation. Take a course on designing a stained glass project, or just create a small suncatcher.

Metals
Coming Late Fall ’26
Cut, bend, weld, and assemble metal into contraptions large and small. Tools include a Bridgeport Mill, horizontal band saw, shear, abrasive saws, mig and tig welders, and more.
We have some basic tools available now, and plan to add more soon.

Print Shop
Coming Late Fall ’26
Make a poster, vehicle wrap, or custom wallpaper on our Canon Colorado 1630 printer. Cut vinyl on our Cricut, or your latest zine on our Risograph. Even screenprint shirts and posters on our rig. Our print shop has plenty of things to do with ink once it opens!

Woodshop
Our well stocked woodshop is a great place to start a project. With two Sawstop table saws, jointer and planer with helical blades, a 25″ open ended drum sander, and more, you can shape wood into anything you can imagine.
